Prior to attending The University of Akron, Matthew attended Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was elected Student Government President of the Western Campus and Vice-President of the Joint Student Council serving the students at all three of Cuyahoga Community College’s campuses. During his time at Cuyahoga Community College, Matthew also served in the United States Senate in the late Senator George V. Voinovich’s Office in Washington, D.C. In 2015, he graduated from the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law with a Certificate of Concentration in Civil Litigation. Before graduating from law school, Matthew married Brandy, his college sweetheart.
In the summer of 2014, Matthew served as a Legal Intern in the Wayne County Prosecutors Office under Prosecutor Daniel Lutz. He conducted over 100 arraignments and served both in the Prosecutor’s Criminal and Civil Divisions. From 2015 to 2016, he was employed in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, under Attorney General Mike DeWine, as a Law Clerk, and later as an Assistant Ohio Attorney General in the Criminal Division-Habeas and Corrections Litigation Units. Since June 2016, Matthew has been a member of the White Law Office, Co. family as a Litigation Associate. His areas of practice include, but are not limited to: criminal, domestic relations, oil and gas, and civil litigation.
