Moriah Schmidt is an associate attorney at the White Law Office, Co. She grew up south of Shreve, in Holmes County, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Thomas Edison State University. Growing up, she was actively involved in 4-H and in her community and took part in several missions trips.
Moriah graduated cum laude from Regent University School of Law in 2018 and received the faculty-voted Outstanding Graduate award. Some of her most memorable experiences at Regent Law came from working with the Center for Global Justice, researching issues in human rights law and spending a summer in Uganda. She also served as a managing editor on Regent Law Review, published an article on the Flint drinking water crisis, and competed as a brief writer with Regent’s Appellate Advocacy team. She enjoyed a variety of legal experiences, such as interning with the Directorate of Public Prosecutions in Uganda, clerking with YWAM’s University of the Nations in Hawaii, and interning with a federal district judge in Virginia. During her second summer of law school, she encountered the family that is the White Law Office back in her home territory, and joined the team as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney.
Moriah passed Ohio’s July 2018 bar exam and works as a general practitioner. Moriah enjoys traveling, running the hills and valleys of Holmes County, and spending time with her adorable nephew.
